KETO PORK CHOPS IN MUSHROOM SAUCE

Keto pork chops or pork cutlets are delicious low carb dinner choice, especially when cooked in rich and tasty mushroom sauce.

INGREDIENTS

  • Lard or ghee 1 TBS
  • Butter 2 TBS
  • Pork chops 4 – 6 pieces (400 g)
  • Mushroms 400 g
  • Onion 1 medium (100 g)
  • Beef broth ½ cup (125 ml)
  • Heavy whipping cream ½ cup (125 ml)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper
  • Red paprika spice 1 tsp
  • 1 sun dried tomato cut into small pieces
  • Basil 🌿 pinch
  • Oregano pinch

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Melt the lard or ghee in a large pan.
  2. Season pork chops with salt, pepper and red paprika and put them on a hot lard or ghee for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. When chops start to change color to golden brown, place them on a plate.
  4. Instead of chops put the cut onion on a lard and add 2 TBS butter.
  5. When onion golden brown add mushrooms and pinch of salt and sauté mushrooms with onion.
  6. Put the chops/cutlets back to the pan when mushrooms sautéed.
  7. Add remaining seasoning, sun dried tomatoes, herbs and broth and cover it and leave to cook covered for 15 minutes.
  8. After 15 minutes add heavy whipping cream and cook on a low heat uncovered until mushroom sauce is ticked.
  9. Serve keto pork chops in mushroom gravy with keto cauliflower gnocchi or keto cauliflower mash.
