- 1 cup of spaghetti sauce (e.g., McCormick Spaghetti Sauce Mix, Thick and Zesty, 1 cup – 2 points)
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Fat-free shredded cheese (e.g., Great Value Fat-Free Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, 1/4 cup – 0 points)
Instructions:
- Begin by heating the veggie spirals in the microwave for 4-5 minutes, ensuring they are not overly softened. While the package might suggest 6-7 minutes, a shorter duration is preferred to prevent the vegetables from becoming mushy.
- Carefully remove the veggie spirals from the microwave, draining any excess liquid. Transfer them to a pot, setting the stage for the next steps of culinary magic.
- Sprinkle the red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper over the veggie spirals. Pour in the spaghetti sauce, creating a tantalizing medley of flavors.
- Gently heat the mixture until the sauce is on the brink of boiling, allowing the spices to infuse and the ingredients to harmonize. Exercise caution, as we aim for a perfect balance without compromising the integrity of the veggies.
- Remove the pot from heat and let the concoction rest for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. The result is a sumptuous blend that will delight your senses.
