🍄 Ingredients

For the Mushrooms:

  • 1 lb button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup panko or breadcrumbs (for best crispiness)

  • Olive oil spray or cooking spray

For the Cool Ranch Dip:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

  • 1 tbsp chives or green onions, chopped

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

🔥 Instructions

Make the Dip:

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, dill, chives, garlic, and lemon juice. Add salt and pepper to taste. Chill in the fridge while you prep the mushrooms.

Prep the Breading Station:

  1. In a bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Beat the eggs in a second bowl.

  3. Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

Coat the Mushrooms:

  1. Dredge each mushroom slice in the flour mixture.

  2. Dip into the beaten eggs.

  3. Coat well with the breadcrumbs, pressing gently so they stick.

Air Fry to Crispy Perfection:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to work in batches).

  3. Lightly spray with olive oil or cooking spray.

  4. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.

Serve:

Serve immediately with a side of that tangy, herby ranch dip. Perfect for dipping!
